The business card read 'Copywriter' in clean Helvetica, and I kept it taped to my monitor as a reminder. Most people didn’t realize how much of branding was just untangling the knots clients tied themselves into, words so tangled they’d lost meaning somewhere between “disruptive synergy” and “leveraging core competencies.”
That's when I realized, my job isn't just about putting words on a sales page. It's more like dragging demons out of a product with a keyboard.

Copy brought to you by the 90’s kids who never grew up… when ads were hilarious and bizarre, they just sort of stuck in your mind. I’m just kidding. Nowadays, the internet sounds like ChatGPT. And it’s everywhere! That one language and one voice…and that makes writers like myself lose their style. But that’s not the main problem. In fact, AI tools are just tools, and Tools should be used properly. They’re there to make you work faster, too.  
 
And that's why copywriters are Human. And we use the right tools to make it work. I’m Dana, your human copywriter, an enchantress with words, who’s weirdly obsessed with how it works. Not in a fancy, poetic way (though I love that too), but in that gut-punch way where the right phrase can make you remember something painful, laugh out loud, or do something brave.

A little bit more about my journey

Who would have thought that a tiny, whimsical blog with a girly little URL would lead me into copywriting?
Back in 2021, I finally hit publish on my first blog. At the time, I had no idea what I was getting into. But over time, I realized that grabbing people’s attention wasn’t the hard part. People weren’t just scrolling past; they wanted something deeper. Someone they could actually trust. So, instead of chasing views, I focused on really listening. What were they worried about? What weren’t they saying out loud? If I could answer those questions before they even asked, that’s when they’d stick around.

2019

The beginning

"You don't look like you belong here," the nurse told me, as I stood in the antiseptic glow of the gynecology ward. She wasn't wrong; the other med students wore white coats with stethoscopes slung around their necks like badges of honor. Mine was folded in my backpack, still smelling of the thrift store plastic it came in.

The evolution

On a whim, I carved out a corner of the internet with a URL that sounded like a witch’s shopping list (I miss you). The blog was supposed to be a graveyard for abandoned drafts...
2022 - present

The vision forward

Now I haunt the freelance world, and four years of ink-stained fingers and crumpled drafts taught me this: the right words can do the work for you. They can teach, guide, and even heal. That’s when I realized my real passion isn't just helping people heal; it’s about helping them express what they do in a way that resonates.
